The yellow hornet!

Light painting is one of those interesting techniques you can try to get some exotic shots without spending a lot of $$$ on the lighting setup. Of course, the best lighting setup for light painting is “continuous lighting”. However with careful usage of flash, interesting shots are possible!

While I try to perfect my experience with light painting, here is a quick attempt to create my first light painting shot. Not bad eh ;-)

About the shot: Single SB800 fired through a small softbox in manual mode multiple times over the car. The camera itself was set to 30 sec exposure and a small aperture.

Don’t be afraid to get a couple of shots so you can merge them where the lighting is spotty!
